Our Heavy Merino is made of 100 % traceable, non-mulesed Merino wool. While Merino wool is one of the softest types of wool, our Heavy Merino is a bit more rustic and less soft than our thin Merino. The reason being is the wool is taken further from the sheep’s skin. Our Heavy Merino is super strong, long-lasting and wears really well. It’s great for sweaters and can be combined with our Soft Silk Mohair for extra softness and fluffiness. Our Heavy Merino is spun in a way to minimize peeling.
100 % non-mulesed merino wool, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - 4,5 mm - 125m | worsted weight
18 sts and 30 rows = 10 cm - Hand-wash in cool water, dry flat - 50g

Our Merino wool provides excellent comfort and functionality, making it perfect for those who love long walks, winter hikes and camping under night skies. The wool’s natural fibers will keep you cozy in chilly weather while allowing your body to release heat in warmer temperatures. And don’t worry, our Merino wool comes from sheep where mulesing isn’t practiced, so you can craft ethical, sustainable knitwear when using our yarn.
100 % non-mulesed merino wool, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - 3 mm - 250m | fingering weight
28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm - Hand-wash in cool water, dry flat - 50g

Our cashmere is a soft, exclusive lace weight yarn which can be worked alone for a super soft and luxurious result, or it can be worked together with other yarn like our Merino, as an alternative to Soft Silk Mohair, for a soft and smooth finish.
100 % cashmere - 150m | lace weight
25g - Hand-wash in cool water, dry flat
Knitting For Olive Pure Silk

Our Pure Silk is made of 100 % bourette silk. Bourette silk is made of silk waste created during silk processing. The short, leftover silk fibers are spun into a new yarn. It has a rustic and uneven look and is less shiny than other types of silk. This is the perfect yarn for summer tops and summer dresses, but it will also make a luxurious sweater combined with our Soft Silk Mohair.
100 % silk, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - 3 mm - 250m | fingering weight
28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm - Hand-wash in cool water, dry flat - 50g
We are also carrying ITO Yarn and will feature that next month! Come on by and take a look!
TOO MANY WIP's
Some of you may remember a blog post we did a couple of years ago titled "Too Many WIP's?" Megan and Judy embarked on a mission to evaluate their WIP's (Works in Progress) and the outcome was eye opening! We had watched a Sticks + Twine episode about organizing and it led us to our decision to jump on the bandwagon. In short, I (Judy) had WAY too many. I think the number was 52. Yes, it's true confessions of a yarn shop owner. After evaluating on whether to frog or finish I was down to 27. Here's what we discussed:
Next step is to set some goals on how to finish them all. Some are close to the end, others we've just begun. Some are quick knits; others are long-term projects. As we continue to figure out the best method of finishing projects in process while still allowing ourselves room to enjoy our knitting, we'll check in here with updates. Knitting brings us joy, so we don't want to get bogged down in hard fast rules of finishing only and miss out on fun, creativity or the chance to connect with community. (From the WIP's Blog post)
It took a couple of years and lots of great projects old and new but I'm happy to update you on my progress. As of today, I have three, a blanket, a scarf and socks.
Judy and Debbie
